While Canton makes a plaque for Thurman Thomas in 2006, you can grab where it all started for him. Thomas' game-used prairie-orange Oklahoma State jersey with Cowboys across the chest is a mid-80s classic. Heavy ventilated coarse mesh with silk screen numbers and lettering shows most of its damage on the sleeves and on the back, where defenders flailed at Thomas as he fled past them en route to 4,595 yards and 43 touchdowns in Stillwater. The right sleeve is stitched near the silk screen-shredded border piping. And the dirty silkscreen white bar is also torn through without being repaired. On the left sleeve, black markings abound. On the back, the numbers and letters have absorbed a grimy pounding. It looks like Thomas found the cleanest part on the "4" and signed right there with a "34" embellishment. A knee injury nearly ruined his NFL career before it started, but the operative word is nearly. He led Buffalo to four straight Super Bowls and became the franchise's all-time leading rusher. He wasn't too bad as an Oklahoma State Cowboy either. LOA.
