By far the most sought after issues ever of "Revista del Besibol", the weekly programs sold during the Puerto Rican Winter League seasons, are the Nov. 22 and Dec. 20, 1954 issues, with Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente on the covers, respectively. That was the season the American superstar and the young homegrown hero led Santurce to the championship and finished 1-2 in the batting race, spawning this sensational collectible. Mays issue is offered here (the Clemente is offered separately) is unexplicable NRMT condition, its red and white cover framing the b&w shot of Willie kneeling in the on-deck circle as vibrant as it was then.
