Lot 42: Springsteen "The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle" British Gold Record
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
It took a mere 25 years for Bruce's masterpiece second LP to garner the British equivalent of the RIAA gold record he received in 1973, and for Brits who ate up classics like "Rosalita", "Kitty's Back" and "New York City Serenade" it was no doubt worth the wait. In fact, the jazz-rock fusion created by Bruce and his then pianist David Sancious, seems timeless to this day, with "Serenade" being regaled by critics as "Chopin meets Gershwin."
Disk sits under glass in a gold frame with the Union Jack in the top left corner and a plaque presenting the record to "Commercial Marketing Dept." and the LP cover on the bottom. NRMT.
