The Dodgers jumped the gun by a year issuing press pins for the 1946 World Series, which became "phantom" pins when they finished 2 games behind the pennant-winning Cardinals. Such phantom pieces are always great collectibles, and this 3/4" in diameter Dieges & Clust pin is one lovely mistake, engraved "1946 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press" across the shiny gold, slightly curved face shaped and detailed like a baseball. Pin is absolutely NRMT and still attached to the original D&C card.
