Lot 1952: 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings Campbell Bowl Trophy

Magnificent presentational Campbell Bowl Trophy given to Red Wing head scout Dan Belisle after the Wings, en route to their 2nd straight Stanley Cup, won the NHL's Western Conference title. Belisle also was head coach of the Washington Capitals from 1978-80. Silver trophy is comprised of a crown that can be lifted from the tureen, all mounted on a wooden base. Cup itself is 7 1/2" tall (11" including base), 6" from handle to handle, hexagonal base 5" at its widest. Engraved "Dan Belisle, Pro Scout, Detroit Red Wings, 1997-98" on one side, "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, 1968" on the other, with the entire piece etched with marvelously intricate detail. NRMT, with nary a flaw in sight. LOA from Belisle.
