Extremely rare 1911 championship pin depicts the Philadelphia A's elephant giving a ride to headshots of 21 smiling players and a stick-figure image of Connie Mack perched atop its head, with a banner reading "Champion Athletics" flying overhead and another reading "1911 Pennant" clutched in the pachyderm's snout -- an amusing theme for a vintage baseball pin, especially one approved by the notoriously prim and proper Mr. Mack. While the images are clear and vibrant, the 2" in diameter pin has heavy foxing around the edges and the attached American flag has seen better days. But this is a gem of a find in any condition.
