Lot 607: Ken Boyer Single Signed Baseball
ITEM DESCRIPTION
The soft-spoken Ken Boyer, one of the greatest glovemen ever at 3B, also hit the second-most homeruns in Cardinal history, 255, behind only Stan Musial. So it's apropos that Clete's older brother -- who hit a career .282 and won 5 Gold Gloves -- signed this whistle-clean Stan Musial Official League ball, adding under his name "66 Mets," the year he spent in Flushing late in his career. The blue ballpoint signature grades an 8/10 while the ball is EX with the mildest possible soiling. Ken Boyer passed away in 1982, making single signed balls difficult to come by. LOA.
