Lot 5: Elvis Presley Concert Worn Scarf with "Use"

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Reserve: $500.00
Winning Bid: $1,542.98
Price Realized: $1,843.86
Auction Date:6/26/2005 9:00 PM EST

Few of the scarves Elvis actually tossed to female fans in his audiences have made their way to the market, as apparently the soiled pieces of linen retain some sort of metaphysical link to the King's soul and are held in deep reverence by those lucky enough to have been on the receiving end of his concert greatness. Many do not have use and have no great lineage. This is the best of the best. Not only does this show imperial use but perfect lineage from Ginger Alden to The King himself. Baby blue scarf is guaranteed to make you feel the power. Not one of the scarves sold or distributed as souvenirs, it shows very evident "use" in the form of brown perspiration stains -- yes, actual sweat from Elvis' neck, which is the same as golden nectar from the gods to still-numerous fans and collectors. Scarf is made of synthetic fiber measures 32x33.5” and in excellent condition.
