ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Exquisite salesman sample of Catfish's 1978 Yankee championship ring, signifying the peak of Hunter's HOF pitching career and the dramatic comeback saga of the Bombers that season. Catfish won three straight pennants from 1976-78 after trading in one nuthouse (Charlie Finley's) for another (George Steinbrenner's). His dominance in WS play was a given -- ranking in the top 10 in five Series pitching categories. 10K gold ring has a stunning 10-cm diamond in the center against a deep blue background surrounded by 21 smaller diamond stones and a corona engraved "World Champions." Left shank has "Hunter-1979-Pride-Tradition-29" and the "NY" logo. Right shank has impression of the classic Yankee Stadium facade, the championship trophy, scripted Yankee logo and bat. Inner band engraved "Greatest Comeback in History." Size 9.25. Perfect tribute for the gentleman pitcher missed dearly by everyone in the game.
