Lot 1921: 1991/92 Bryan Trottier Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Bryan Trottier's veteran leadership helped the Pittsburgh Penguins to consecutive Stanley Cup titles, but the slash mark and tears on the left shoulder of his 1991-92 jersey show he had to take plenty of punishment to get them there. Puck scuffs, dirt, sweat surround the black, white and yellow Penguin logo. In addition to Trottier's captain's āCā on the breast, the sweater is loaded with eye-catching patches: the NHL's 75th anniversary on the front of the right shoulder, the Penguins' 25th anniversary on the top of the right shoulder, and on the top of the left shoulder a "Badger" memorial decal for their coach, Bob "Badger" Johnson, who died at the start of the season. Trottier's jersey is fittingly decorated for a decorated player who also won four Stanley Cups with the Islanders.
