Game used baseballs from 8/13/68 (vs. St. Louis, losing pitcher Washburn, win #13. 2), 9/24/68 (vs L.A., losing pitcher Foster, win #19, w/inscription & signature, 6/10). 3) 5/12/69 (vs. S.D., losing pitcher Ross, win #5). 4) 6/25/69 (vs. Pitt., losing pitcher Vealer, win #9). Balls show nice use but are still clean. ONL Giles are absolutely perfect for display purposes. Also, a sheaf of 23 vintage signed photos covering Jenkins' fascinating life. Included time spent with the Harlem Globetrotters in the '60s (these are incredible shots, including one of him in the 'Trotter uniform holding a baseball in his right hand and wearing a mitt with a basketball in it, and one with Cub teammate Lou Brock wearing a Globie jacket!), magazine cover shots including Sports Illustrated, b&w action stills, illustrations, publicity stills heralding his '71 Cy Young award and others from his days with the Cubs, Red Sox and Rangers. Perhaps the rarest photo is of Jenkins' rookie year with the Phillies in '65 w/small signature. Later signatures seem to grow in stature, as did the man. On the Ranger shot, he wrote "Peace." Also, 2 group photos with signatures also by Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry, Bud Harrelson, Tony Oliva and Vida Blue. All photos signed "Fergie Jenkins". Overall EX-MT. Chicago sportswriter who was close friends with Jenkins.
