Immensely rare 5 x 7" snap of HOF pitcher Chief Bender warming up at Baker Bowl in the early 1910s. Bender, one of Connie Mack's aces from 1903-14, was a rarity himself, making it to the bigs as a Native American at a time when the game was kept scrupulously white. On back is Conlon's handwritten notation "Bender, Athletics pitcher." Slightly sepia toned photo is EX+.
