Ken Dryden differed from most jocks in that his career was a stopover on the way to bigger and better things such as a law degree, a seat in the Canadian parliament and currently a cabinet position. Yet he also had more success than most, winning 6 Stanley Cups in his 9-year NHL career as the Canadiens goalie (1970-79).
