Clemente was notoriously stingy with autographs -- most of those you see are in fact "ghost" signatures signed by one of his assistants. Even Phil Dorsey had only one real-deal signature in his collection (we assume that Dorsey signed many of the bad Clemente's on the market today) of around 20 Clemente autographs -- this very one, on an illustrated rendering of Roberto kneeling with a bat in his classic pre-1970s sleeveless Pirate uniform, mitt in the foreground. Inscription reads, "Best wishes, Roberto Clemente" in blue pen. The rare and precious signature is a NRMT gem. 5 x 8" image is a rare gem as well, in EX-MT condition with two nearly invisible pieces of scotch tape affixed to the left and right edges.
