This marvelous original pencil drawing of Humphrey Bogart by famed portrait artist Joseph Cummings Chase (1878-1956) depicts the tough-guy actor in a side-left pose, clad in in a natty suit. Bogie added the finishing touch by signing his name in a graceful hand on the left side in pencil, grading an 8/10, while Chase's appears in pencil on the lower right. On a sheet of off-white paper folded to a tight 5 x 8". Given to the New Hampshire Arts School where it hung on a wall for many years, it remains a nearly flawless tribute to a Hollywood legend.
