19th century 8" plate cradles a precious hand-painted team composite of the 1889 pennant winners, the New York Giants. Each player's bust with his name below, is in notably exceptional condition, given its age, with little fading or scratching to the surface. Surrounding text reads, "The Pennant Winners, 1889", "New York Baseball Club", and "The Giants". Twenty team members include: O'Rourke, Ewing, Welsh, Cleveland, Ward, Foster, Keefe, George, Brown, Connor, Muphy & more. Plate is in Excellent condition and "WHMC" painted on bottom.
