The English seaside enclave of Southampton was devastated by the sinking of the Titanic. In one school, 120 of the 240 children lost their fathers; you can imagine the sorrow and widespread grief, in this sleepy working class community. The Titanic fund was created for the aid and relief of the widows and orphans of the 724 crew members who lost their lives. This is a very rare ticket for a English comic football match held on May 16, 1912 just a few weeks after the tragedy. The ticket is 2.5x3.5" and is GOOD.
