The '50 Phillies "Whiz Kids" were the classic example of a team of overachievers having career years and making the improbably happen for one very special moment in their lives. The Phils surprised everyone but getting out front and staying there, all the way until they unfortunately ran into the Yankees in the WS. The faces in this original 1950 NL Champion team photo will forever be heroes on State Street, and the 13 x 8" piece is signed by some of them, Eddie Waitkus, Richie Ashburn, Dick Sisler, Del Ennis, Willie Jones, Granny Hamner, & Andy Seminick. All in blue fountain ink, signatures grade 7-8 out of a possible 10 and are nice and bold. Photo itself is commendable, save for some minor creasing.
