Ken "Hawk" Harrelson was one of baseball's '60s rebels. In fact, the only thing missing from his Lousville Slugger C324 from those days is an engraved peace sign. The fielding-challenged Hawk had long hair and wore Nehru jackets, beads, bell bottoms, and no socks. He also spoke his mind, which got him traded from the A's (after calling Charlie Finley a "menace to baseball") and the Red Sox, though he helped lead them to the '67 pennant and then had a 35-homer, 109-RBI year in '68. Heavy lumber from a time when bats were tree stumps. Light cracking and slight deadwood on barrel along with scattered nicks and markings including a half-moon outline. Overall a terrific '60s echo of a man, his bat and his beads.
