A year before his fateful February 25, 1964 fight with Cassius Clay in Miami, Sonny Liston signed this "Chit-Chat" newsletter of Miami Beach's Casablanca Hotel. At the time Liston must have agreed with the newsletter's subtitle -- "Isn't it great to be in Miami" -- as he seemed invincible. Of course, it wasn't so great to be there when the 8-1 underdog battered him into submission in 6 rounds. Signature on back of the 1-page, 8 1/2 x 14" newsletter dated February 10, 1963 is in blue ink and grades 9/10. The newsletter itself has some wrinkling and fold marks, none affecting the important signature. LOA.
