Lot 1183: Circa 2002 Moises Alou Game Used Glove
ITEM DESCRIPTION

Alou's 1st year with the Cubs after signing as a free agent was an appetite-whetter, as the 35-year-old veteran outfielder rang up a .275 average and 15 homers in an injury-streaked season that he would easily eclipse the following two seasons. This Rawlings signature model mitt was on his hand that year, when he set a career record with just 2 errors. The well-worn black "Holdster" has "Moises Alou" chain-stitched on the thumb. Extensive wear has rubbed off many of the stampings, a clear sign that Alou treasured this special piece of leather. We know what you're thinking, especially if you're a Cubbie fan: if only Alou had gotten to a certain foul ball with this thing before Bartman did.
