Just as the luster never seems to fade from the "Miracle of Coogan's Bluff", this great ball signed by approx. 25 members of the '51 Giants hasn't lost any of its sheen or magical qualities. The ONL (Frick) sphere attests to the Giants' late-season wrangling of the Dodgers being a team effort, but also is a sterling showpiece for Bobby Thomson whose "Shot Heard 'Round the World" dinger clinched the flag, and Willie Mays in his rookie year. Others include Monte Irvin, Sal Maglie, Whitey Lockman, Hank Thompson, Don Mueller, Clint Hartung, etc. Signatures average 6-7 out of 10, while the ball is lightly toned with a few scattered surface flaws. Fabulous ball that still echoes the refrain "The Giants win the pennant!"
