Lot 1529: Mickey Mantle-Joe DiMaggio-Ted Williams Signed Ball
ITEM DESCRIPTION

Who could ask for more than a ball graced by these 3 magical names? While Mantle is perhaps the most collectible name of all among Baby Boomers, Williams and DiMaggio defined baseball in the '30s, '40s and 50s, with Ted racking up the game's last .400 season and Joe D making the Yankees the U.S. Steel of baseball. Mantle's signature on a side panel is somewhat light but clear blue ink, grading an 8/10. The Splinter's on the sweet spot is the darkest and most stable, while Joe D's on another panel is an 8 marred only by a very slight degree of bleeding. AOL ball (Brown) is near spotless with a light yellowing mainly on the Williams panel. A glowing display ball that invokes more memories than can be counted. Clear the top shelf of the display case for this one.
