ITEM DESCRIPTION
|
||||||||||||
If there are seats in heaven, they must be look like this original royal blue Yankee Stadium wooden treasure, a survivor of the Stadium's first half-century of glory and salvaged when it was remodeled in '74. Even a few splinters in the rump wouldn't have dimmed anyone's enthusiasm while sitting in this seat mounted on a wood base and standing 34" high and 20 1/2" from one metal armrest to the other. Top back slat has a commemorative gold plaque reading: "Yankee Stadium, 'The House That Ruth Built', 50th Anniversary, 1923-1973, Bronx, NY." Seat has been refurbished with some new paint, and has only a modicum of chipping.
