On Sunday June 10, 1990, the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, NY inducted its inaugural class. It featured greats such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Jake LaMotta, Emile Griffith, Kid Gavilan, Bob Foster, Billy Conn, Carmen Basilio, Archie Moore, Willie Pep, Sandy Saddler, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ike Williams, Jose Napoles and Carlos Monzon. Each fighter has individually signed a first day cover from the event. Only three of these displays were produced, as only three FDCs were signed by Carlos Monzon in a private signing shortly before his death. One display was donated to the Hall of Fame and the other remains in a private collection. The signatures average "9/10." 32 x 36 inches.
