Lot 1212: 1895 Elmer Smith Cabinet Card & Lifetime Pass
A sensational 19th century Dana baseball photo, this cabinet card of Pittsburgh Pirates hurler, Elmer Smith is one of his few surviving images in existence. Measures 4.25x6.5" to end of cardboard backing. Comes with Elmer Smith's personal 4.25x2.75" Lambert Bros. silver plate lifetime baseball pass with "Elmer E. Smith" engraved. Raised lettering includes the facsimile signatures of Harridge & Frick and reads, "The National American Major Leagues of Professional Baseball present this Lifetime Pass to Elmer E. Smith in appreciation of long and meritorious service."
