A fantastic and rare vintage photo of middleweight champion, Stanley Ketchel. Posed in fight stance in the ring, squared off against opponent, Joe Thomas. This shot was taken before the fight actually started, and the photo shows promoters, coaches and trainers also standing in the ring with the referee in between. Photo is underlined by “Ketchell and Thomas Contest, Colma, Cal., Sept. 2nd ’07. Won by Ketchell. 32 rounds K.O. Dana, Photo, S.F.” Only slightly toned with some minor damage to the edges. Technically VG-EX but looks nicer.
