Rare and wonderful group of four early examples of the Great Ones handwriting. Wayne added his beautiful blue ink signature back in 1980 to four color plates from “The Great Gretzky” book by Terry Jones. 1) image of Wayne with Gordie Howe at the 1979 WHA All Star game, signed by Wayne. 2) WHA action shot of Wayne featuring a massive autograph below and another of Vladislav Tretiak. 3) Wayne, Gordie and Guy Lafleur at the 1980 NHL Awards Ceremony, signed below by all three. Again, the Gretzky autograph is gigantic! 4) Another huge signature as Wayne poses with his Hart and Lady Byng trophies. Rookie-era signatures of Wayne Gretzky are nearly non-existent. All four are double matted and professionally framed to 12x14” in size.
