Carlson’s game used Northland stick is signed up and down the length of the shaft by the members of the 1976 Johnstown Jets of the North American Hockey League. This was the team portrayed as the Chiefs in the cult classic film Slaphot. Most of the players who appear on the stick were in the movie including Steve and Jeff Carlson and Dave “Killer” Hanson (as the Hanson Brothers). The stick itself was used by third Carlson brother Jack, who was unable to appear in the movie and has his name and number in thick back marker on the front of the shaft.
