ITEM DESCRIPTION

With this mighty black Easton 271ST, Texas Rangers first baseman, Rafael Palmeiro smashed his 34th homer of the season, #434 for his career, off of New York Yankees southpaw, Sterling Hitchcock, who came from San Diego earlier in the season. In the same week, Palmeiro became the 4th player in ML history to record 7 consecutive 35HR, 100RBI seasons (only Jimmie Foxx, Babe Ruth & Sammy Sosa had done it previously). Tons of game use evident on this bat, with severe large ball marks which show up as white on the barrel. Pine tar residue still on the handle. Nicely signed in silver sharpie with his #25 and inscribed, “HR 434” on the sweet spot. LOA Palmeiro.
