Unquestionably the most famous concert in rock n’ roll history, the Woodstock Festival took place in August of 1969 and featured the most stellar array of stars ever assembled. Documented on both record and film this original poster advertising the festival lists the many acts that appeared including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the Who, Santana, Crosby Stills Nash & Young (Young was not listed on the poster), Mountain, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Sly & the Family Stone, The Band, Creedence and many more.
