The Great One returned to the ice for the Inaugural Wayne Gretzky Fantasy Camp held this past February in Phoenix. And though those who attended were thrilled to be out on the ice with Wayne and guests for four days of surprisingly high-caliber and competitive hockey, it appeared that Gretzky was the one who enjoyed himself the most. Wayne’s father Walter remarked “he’s having a ball out there, just look at him!” Offered here is Wayne’s complete uniform worn during the camp: 1) white pro weight CCM Edmonton Oilers uniform with the commemorative shoulder patch reading “99, Inaugural Wayne Gretzky Fantasy Camp, 2003” and Wayne’s name and number on the back and sleeves. Displays obvious game wear. 2) long-cuff Louisville TPS gloves with the embroidered “GRETZY” (with the last “Y” blued out). 3) Louisville Response one piece stick with “Gretzky” graphics and Wayne’s black foam gripper and “bulldog” taped blade. Great game use! 4) Louisville TPS pants and shells. 5) well-worn pair of Oilers colors game socks. 6) Wayne’s locker room nameplate with the Camp logo, Bud Light logo and “Gretzky 99”. Also included is the six by six foot Fantasy Camp banner that hung at the event hand signed by Wayne in bold black marker. Although the equipment was photographed for the catalog in an unsigned state, each item will be autographed by Wayne before the auction commences. The winning bidder of this incredible package will also receive the accompanying Letter of Authenticity signed by Wayne Gretzky. Proceeds from this collection will go directly to the Wayne Gretzky Foundation, the Great One's new charitable organization dedicated to providing youth throughout North America with the opportunity to experience hockey.
