For the Star Show in the Tower Ballroom, New Brighton on June 21. This was one of the last shows with Pete Best as the Beatles' drummer. Also the first of numerous shows in '62 where the Beatles would play along side other well-known artists. Of note is The Big Three and Bruce Channel and the Barons, both bands which had a great influence on the Beatles. Handbill announces "Number One Star Show" and "The Beatles (Parlophone Recording Artistes and stars of the BBC's 'Teenager's Turn'). For the first time at the Tower following their fantastically successful tour of Germany." EX.
