During the mid Eighties, Grant Fuhr switched from a full fiberglass mask to the mask and cage combination. During the transition he messed around with a few designs including this contraption, a full fiberglass example with a large cutout and the add-on Cooper-style cage. Fuhr experimented with the interior pads and according to the consignor, always seemed to be fiddling with this one during practice. Unpainted with some interior padding (and some of Grant’s hair!), original straps and a backplate in Oilers colors.
