Lot 1287: Ted Williams Navy Signing Original Negative
ITEM DESCRIPTION

Here’s the handsome Boston slugger in 1942, shortly after being inducted into the U. S. Navy. Ted lost 5 prime years of his career to service in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He most certainly would have challenged Babe Ruth’s 714 HR’s and been a member of the 3000 Hit Club. Ted had no regrets however. Late in his life, when asked, he said his greatest accomplishment was serving proudly with his fellow pilots. Here is the opportunity to own the original 4”x 5” negative that produced this very famous image of a true American hero. In NRMT condition.
