Great document signed by President James Polk and Secretary of State, James Buchanan in black fountain pen. Slightly faded but continuous and nicely legible, signatures grade as 7's out of a possible 10. Americana graphics of a ship and a light house printed on paper. Original folds, original seal has been removed or has fallen off. Some wrinkling. VG-EX.
