Official Spalding scorebooks from the earliest days of the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise: 1899 Pittsburgh Alleghanies baseball club - this team joined the National League in 1887 and later evolved into the Pirates. Each book, bound with black hardcovers, contain the official scorecards filled out in pencil for each game of the season. This is the line-up that boasted the first baseball player to have his name branded on a Louisville: Honus Wagner. Books are intact, VG. From the estates of Original Pirates owners, Barney Dreyfuss & Bill Benswanger.
