Are you bidding on the Philly Find? Are you completing an M116 set? Are you looking for one of the scarcest cards in the hobby? If you answered “yes” to any of the previous questions, here’s your chance. This elusive variation is one of only five ever graded and only one has ever graded higher (a PSA 7) than this PSA 6 EX-MT example. Lelands is fortunate to be able to offer two of these great cards as a companion lot to the winner of the Philly Find and another lucky bidder (see the PSA 3 McQuillan in a separate auction lot). A late season trade from Philadelphia to Cincinnati prompted Sporting Life to issue a third McQuillan card. The two previous cards (Blue Background and Pastel Background) were printed when George was with Philadelphia and are much more common. The two late season trade “updates” (the other update is the Amby McConnell Chicago variation and it is included in the Philly Find auction) are the scarcest of all of the M116’s.
