Lot 938: Frank Baker Handwritten Letter

After Frank “Homerun” Baker left baseball he returned to the town in which he lived as a boy and it was there he penned this letter. Dated, “Nov. 23rd 1957, in strong fresh looking blue ink, he replies to his friend Russell Bush’s invitation to visit, “I would love to come, but driving a car up in Pennsylvania the middle of January might not be so good.” Finished with his 9/10 signature, “J. Franklin Baker”. The EX-MT letter includes it’s original EX envelope.
