*****NOTE FOR PETE - THE FOLLOWING INTRO IS FOR LOTS C19307, C19305, C19311, C19306, C19315, C19312,C19309, C19308 ***** Carl “Tinker” West Bruce Springsteen Collection This collection consists of eight lots of extremely rare promo material consigned by Carl “Tinker” West the original manager of Child and Steel Mill, Bruce Springsteen’s early bands. Carl was a displaced Californian who owned and operated the "Challenger East Surfboard Factory”. He became the band’s manager in 1969, the band rehearsed and most (including Bruce) lived in his Surfboard Factory in 1969 – 1970. He also was the band’s sound engineer and was responsible for contracting all artwork and graphics for Child/Steel Mill. Each lot in the collection comes with a LOA signed by Carl himself. Copy for this lot: A poster and 2 circular cutouts each with the attractive design of the entire band in kaleidoscope pattern including Steven and Bruce. From the “Sunshine-in, 1st & Kingsley” on July 17-18, 1970. One is a full brilliant blue poster on parchment type paper and measures 12 x 19.5”. Also included, are 2 circular cutouts from the posters in orange and yellow in EX condition. Condition is VG+ on the poster
