Erratum: This baseball is not game used as is described in the printed catalog.
It went down as the miracle of 1938, the night Brooklyn Dodgers fans witnessed perfection and history in the making. ONL (Frick) baseball from Ebbets Field the night Johnny Vander Meer's pitched his second of two consecutive no-hitters, when he became the only pitcher in the history of baseball to ever accomplish the feat. Experimental yellow night baseball is made with a yellow tint meant to show up easier under the lighting of the ballpark, in what was the first night game in the history of New York. Prior to this game no pitcher had ever pitched two no-hitters in the same season, and only two could boast of having done it twice in their career. Since than not a single pitcher has been able to match the feat of back-to-back no-hitters. Signed and inscribed by Johnny Vander Meer on the sweet spot. Black ballpoint signature is a strong 8 out of possible 10, nice and dark.
