This Tricorder prop was used in the original series that ran from 1966 thru 1969. When they beamed down to a planet, the Tricorder was used by Mr. Spock to scan plant life, objects etc to dertermine the origins, molecular make-up and composition. It is a box with three draws, or sections, two that open and one that doesn't. The first section flips open to reveal a computer screen (looks like a TV to me!) and buttons. Made of heavy resin composition, metal and glass with a leather shoulder strap. Intended to be high tech, but looks like 1960s. Measures 7.5x5x2". Slight wear, overall EX.
