Original art (15”x 22”) by Willard Mullin is caricature of “Lonely” George Weiss. Known for his tight-fistedness when dealing with player salaries the cartoon depicts George beating an anonymous Yankee along with blow by blow commentary. Mullin spoofed on everything from boxing to tennis to horseback riding. Throughout his career more than 10,000 of his illustrations were printed in The Sporting News.
