The stanchions are orange, not black as is stated in the catalogue.
Resplendent figural stadium seat from this stadium that was once King of New York. All-important number “1” seat, this aisle ender sports a beautiful black “1” on the lovely top slat. Beautifully refinished with 100% accurate details, the slats are in gray, the stanchions are black. Most importantly, there is a momentous figural “NY” on one side, which has been lovingly detailed in black. Important note: many of the restored Polo Grounds seats have had wood added from other sources and then repainted. The wood from this seat is 100% original making this a true rarity. Lovely wood base makes it ready for display. A piece of furniture that would have made even John McGraw proud.
