Colossal image advertised the re-release of the greatest sports film ever made, a portrait of courage, starring Gary Cooper as Lou Gehrig, Theresa Wright & Babe Ruth as himself, nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This re-issue is graphically superior to the 1942 original, as it has an image of Babe Ruth swinging in pinstripes at the bottom. "It's the Great American Story" at top left. The film was a most inspired account of the storied life and baseball career of New York's Iron Horse. Linen-backed and nicely restored to EX-MT condition.
