Lot 680: 1996 Derek Jeter World Series Ring
ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Not to be confused with the more common copy of the Yankees’ World Championship ring, this extravagant 10-karat gold sample is a dead ringer for the superstar shortstop’s first World Series prize. The only other way to get a ring like this is to make it to the World Series yourself! Made directly from the mold, every detail is razor-sharp: “NY” in faux diamonds cut into the blue stone on face with “1996 World Champions” surrounding it in raised text. “Jeter” is spelled out above a World Series trophy in miniature on left shank; New York Yankees team logo with an image of the famed Bronx façade on right shank. Small chip to the blue stone in lower left corner, o/w flawless. Size 10.
