Most notable here is a 1909 Ed Walsh American League one-year Player’s Contract for $3,500. Dated April 14, 1909, this important document is unsigned. Accompanied by a typed and hand signed letter from Charles Comiskey to Ed Walsh, which he sent in the mail along with the contract: “I am enclosing you a contract, for Thirty-Five Hundred dollars, for the season. I am perfectly willing to sit down and go over the conditions with you as to what you are worth to me. But it seems, that from your letter, I am doing business, with two people, and I have never had any luck doing business, in the past that way, and do not care about trying to do it in your case. I apparently used you all right in the past, as we never had any hitch, on you signing, before you got to be a star, and outsiders were not so interested in your welfare. We leave for the Coast, on the 26th of this month, to train in San Francisco. Yours Truly, Chas A. Comiskey”. Typed on Chicago White Sox letterhead and signed in black fountain pen (slightly faded and bled). Includes the original Chicago White Sox mailing envelope in which it was mailed to Ed Walsh. Also includes: 1930 Ed Walsh Jr.(son) AL Players Contract for $6,500, signed beautifully in blue fountain pen by Ed. Walsh and stamp signed by Chas Comiskey; 1928 Class AA Players Contract for the Jersey City baseball club, signed “Robert E.
