After tallying 200 wins as a pitcher, Albert Goodwill Spalding followed his vision and started his own sporting goods business. After producing baseball’s official league ball, he became one of the most famous names in American Literature. More than a century later, he is still an authority on sports equipment, rules & etiquette. Offered are 11 of his sports guides dating from 1877-1917: Our Boys Baseball Rules for 1877, Minor League Baseball Guide (1889), The Reliable Book of Outdoor Games (1893), Technical Terms of Baseball (1897), Baseball Record (1910), The Bull Durham Baseball Guide vol. 2 (1911), & (5) Baseball Guides (1887, 1912, two from 1916, & 1917). Books are VG to VG-EX (one cover detached).
