From the famed Mannie Seamon collection, auctioned by Guernseys in 1990 as lot #A186 (tag from that sale still attached). 8 oz. burgundy fight gloves by Everlast were worn by Joe Louis during the 1940's. Each with "Everlast" manufacturer's tag, and each is initialed "JL" in vintage ink on the inside fabric. Nice use and wear. Remnants of the white lacing still remain. Worn by Joe during a fight but we have not been able to pin down the specific event.
