Large size boxing gloves came out of the collection of Joe Louis’ trainer, Mannie Seamon. Originating from Joe Louis boxing career during the 1940’s, these were originally offered as lot A185 at Guernseys in April, 1990 (tag from that sale still attached). 16-ounce burgundy gloves were used by Joe Louis during training. Perfectly intact with nice use and original laces. “Everlast” label on each wrist, and vintage “J.L.” written in ink on inside of each glove. LOA from famed boxing expert, Craig Hamilton.
